Westfield Bespoke

A navigable 3D tour of a space that didn’t exist yet, built in six weeks

Role

Client

Westfield

Timeline

6 weeks, concept to launch

Tech

Unreal, Unity

Year

2015

Overview

Westfield was losing foot traffic to e-commerce. Their answer was Bespoke: an event space, brand demo booths, and coworking for retail startups. I designed, staffed, and built the onsite experience that introduced it to mall visitors before it opened.

Problem

Raise awareness of Bespoke among mall visitors and generate real interest, especially coworking signups, before the space itself was open.

Solution

An onsite interactive kiosk that let visitors preview Bespoke before it existed, explore the space, and act on their interest on the spot.

The real-time 3D map of Bespoke

Approach

Let people walk through it before it exists.

Floor plans and renderings ask people to imagine. We built a real-time 3D model of Bespoke that visitors could explore for themselves, then act on their interest right at the kiosk.
